Ive got to say its worthpaying that little extra and getting yourself the best chip on the market.

But while we is on the subject of the modbo v2.0 can anyone tell me if theres a flash bios for it, or updates???
A friend of mine as a slimline with it in and hes having probs and was wondering if there was a bios for it, ive looked around but cant see owt.

Does any of you know of anything.

According to this link: http://www.mrmodchips.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_24&... The modbo 2.1 is based upon Matrix Infinity firmware 1.54. I don't know if that's true for the Modbo 2.0. Glad to see you have a DMS 4. I don't understand why people get cheap modchips like this. If price is really that big a concern, the Duo2SE is an excellent value around $20, and it offers a lot of functionality of the high end DMS and Matrix chips. In that link the modbo claims to offer the same functionality as the Matrix Infinity. I have a Matrix Infinity, and I scoff at that suggestion. No way a POS modbo is going to autoboot everything and have the same functionlality as a legit Infinity chip.

Yeah i agree, just dont want to flash it badly and mess it all up, he go it as an xmas gift but has turned to me for help, but like you i dont mess with the cheep stuff.

I also have a ps2 with the infinity in and ive just updated the bios on that, suppose i could try the same disc with the modbo and hope it works.

Be careful with that. Look around a little on Google and see what firmware the Modbo 2.0 uses. In the past, I've read reports of Modbos getting fried by people using the incorrect firmware upgrades.

modbo is not supposed to be flashed. it has already been pre-flashed by the manufacturer before sale.

yea I asked them before and they told me Not to flash it. Anyways, the modbo 2.1 is already quite good. Better still, get the new Myth chip which I think is from the same manufacturer as modbo.
