Now I have been on the computer for 2-3 days now doing research on what nod kit wud be the best.... Well all reviews for the following programs are lookin to be very bad for those companies.. SAD, but I did come across this site that is sellin a package that consists:

1: IDE connector
1: ICE thin IDE connector board
1: Power supply for the HDD
1: XCM replacement case for the PStwo (default Crystal silver)

I dont want to lead people on but i will buy 1 and see if it will cure the whole problem of the usb external HDD.

I recall a few people saying that they had trouble running games from the HD when copied from the PS2 directly to the HD.
Anyone know for sure?

You have to run a different version of hdloader if you want to be able to use your slimline to copy games. I think it was if UDMA mode0 was enabled, there was no problem.

You have to build it yourself though. I wanted to try it out for my customers, but i havn't gotten to it yet. I'm still happy with the two versions i've been using.

It's easy once you figure it out, but there are a bunch of guides out there for it. The forums on ps2-scene.org are alot of help with stuff like that.

You can find the file on the .elfs section at sksapps.org. If you use sksapps.org, you should tip the guy for having the file available, because some of the files that he has are extremely hard to find.
