I'm pretty sure it's a private bittorrent site. If you go to their site, it says that they are currently accepting registrations. Not sure if it will work though...didn't try it. I prefer newsgroups.

Demonoid.com the last i recall it is closed unless you have a member of the community to invite you. btw jamaal you intriqued me with these newsgroups do tell me since i have two games i cannot find on the world wide torrent web

With newsgroups, you don't have to worry about seeders. If the file is listed, you download it, and the speeds are much faster. I've been able to get a 3gb file in less than an hour. The only catch is that it does cost $. This link will help you out: http://slyck.com/ng.php?page=1

You will have to subscribe to a newsserver and then get a newsreader program. You can get Grabit (newsreader) from the above link for free. As far as the newsservers go, check out page 2. It shows a bunch to choose from. I personally went with Giganews, mainly because of their 70 day retention rate (not trying to persuade you!).

Your ISP might provide a free newsgroup. Contact them to verify. The only downside is that free newsgroups usually have a very low cap, such as 1gb a month. Kind of defeats the purpose of using it!

if you live in the uk and have cable newsgroups are free with service provider
for beginners try using the program "grabit" from www.shemes.com

some groups you should visit are
alt.binaries.cd.image.playstation2 and alt.binaries.dvd.iso.playstation2

to use grabit your isp's news server is usually something like news.blueyonder.co.uk and just use the username and password your isp gave you to connect.
