look i know every 1 is exsited about the ps3 but i think sony has made a big mistake because there will very very angory customers coz people who have not got a lot of mony only just got a ps2 think of them i have had a ps2 since it was relised but now the ps3 is coming out the ps2 is going to get kicked to the gutter like the psone yes a psone the little gray console what played games yes remember it yes thats whats going to happend to the ps2 on about 3 or 4 years time no will know what a ps2 is please think what youse are doing.,
I have all consoles and Hand held consoles from 1988 to 2007.

Your right some poeple won't beable to afford the PS3 but its the way the cookie crumbles i will never get a mansion some poeple will never get a PS3 i fell sorry for them but like i sead its the way the cookie crumbles

But if it's in 3 or 4 years time the Ps3 will have dropped in price by a great amount so more people will be able to buy it.

well as soon as the ps2 come out know 1 knowes what a psone was so sony is making a big mistake thay should leave the ps3 for another 2 or 3 years coz all i hear now is the next gen console i think the next gen console is the xbox 360 so sony should waight for 2 or 3 years and bring the ps3 out so it will be come better than the 360 coz if the ps3 come out next year xbox 360 will be better if thay bring it out in 2 years time thay would have even more time for the graphics and then know 1 will know what the xbxo 360 would be.

Actually, the ps3 is going to be more powerful than the xbox 360.

thank god i have enough games to last me a few more years.
That way by the time i actually get to play them all the price for the PS3 will be low, mods will be available, all the bugs will have been worked out of it, and everything will be all good.

The ps3 will be a lot of money but it will be 100% worth it. It will completly rule the 360. The ps3 has 9 CPU's compaired to the 360's 3. The graphics will be much better than the 1080 oops i mean 360. The ps3 will be able to read blu-ray (up to 54 GIGS, thats freakin crazy) so the games will be much better( the 360 reads the regular 9 Gig dvd). Also the hard drive you will be able to put into it will already have Linux installed so it will basically be an Awesome computer. It can hook up to 2 HD TV's at one time, and can go 1080p (the best HD known to mankind), compaired to the 360's 1080i. They will actually have an online program this time, and the Eye Toy 2 will kick ass. Allowing to share video over the web, how cool. The eye toy 2 is also HD.
But yes the price will be a lot, so we'll just have to wait. It should be worth every penny though.

Sony should wait to put out the PS3 because the X-Box 360 is the newest next-gen gaming system? Apparently you haven't taken any economy or business courses in your time. Should Ford stop selling pickup trucks because Chevy came out with a new feature first? Hardly...And the PS2 will be phased out in time irregardless, as new technology pushes on, much like the PS1 and Nintendo 64 were phased out...But I don't think Sony will listen to you and push back their release date because you can't afford it during it's initial release, nor because Microsoft got theirs on the shelves first. Welcome to the big wide world of business. And in 3-4 years, do you not think there will be other 'newer' systems in the works...It's the way the world turns. Get used to it.

I've been to a game site www.megagames.com and they did a report on the system specs on both sony's and microsoft's future consoles and found out that the hardware is not all that great because they wanna cut costs on new hardware technology so you might see great graphics on the Playstation 3 (it uses the latest Nvidia Graphics hardware) but the Cpu is very cheeply made for the system so there could be possible slowdowns on both consoles with the newer games, I'm happy with the Playstation2 games and I don't care what sony or microsoft are doing with their newer consoles I have plenty of good games that will keep me going and if I want a newer system I rather upgrade my PC instead than to scrap all the games I bought (which are $100.00AUS each)for my PS2 system and I also have the PS1 games that can play on the PS2 it's backwards compatible and also plays DVD movies so I'm keeping my console big time.

lol i cant afford it look there is 2 reasons i want to waight for the ps3 to come out coz 1 there is lots of people in the world who loves gaming and wont be able to afford the ps3 and about 45% or the people in the worl only just got a ps2 and secondly that i have ever console whats out you name it i have got it well if there was consoles out before 1880 i wont have but the only reason i dont want the ps3 to come out now is coz i have no room to put the thing i have consoles all over the house and am waighting till i mover in to my new house what is now getting built so i can move in coz its got what 4 or 5 more rooms than the 1 i am living in now.

no thses people like the new games but the ps3 is to soon we havent seen the best of ps2 yet but as soon as ps3 comes out no 1 wil know what a ps2 is and it will be gone like the psone. When does it come out anyway is in like easter time or next christmas if it comes out next christmas then yer it would be a bit better because coz people whould of saved upfor it.

um.... did anybody read the article? I'm only saying that the PS2 can do alot of things for a console and that I was only just saying to be careful not to throw away the console we already have just to get a better one, my friend bought a sega dreamcast and it went right of the australian market because the playstation2 has more features and is very stable console and my friend got shafted because he bought the wrong console because of marketing tactics on TV and magazines, lucky I did reaserch on the consoles I wanted to know and make sure if this is what I want and I made the right decision with the PS2 I didn't just jump right in because of the graphics it had other features that made it special to buy.

Lmao I wasen't trying to cause trouble I'm only telling everyone the PS2 has more features like a video and DVD deck all in one which you can buy anyway and not cost so much like the newer stuff that's recently out, I'm not here to cause fights or argument I'm just very careful with what I believe is the best console on the market, more like try before you buy, see if the console really are up to your expectation and if not well then you didn't wast so much $$$$$ on a console that's not going to be supported very well, go to a game shop and ask for more info about the newer systems and see what the shop owner has to say I'm sure they have played with them to know themselves or if there is one in the shop setup on display ask to have a closer look ,don't just jump in and buy somthing you think is going to be a better system most times it can be a dissapointment and end up for sale second hand (but then that would be a bargan for the buyer but a loss for the seller to sell it cheaper than what he or she paid for it)
