Ok so I need a mod chip to play burned games on my PS2 or, but what's the story on these mod chips. What's the chance that I'm going to fuck up my console with one of the things? What's the best one to buy? And is there anything that I should know about them that stores and articles aren't telling me?

Nice post.

Just make sure you have a professional install it.
And if you want to put it in a V12 then get a laser fix like
Comsoft V4 or Summone
Or just buy a premodded console somewhere like Teammodders.com
or Xmodd and your set.
