When I'm playing NFSMW (need for speed most wanted) I'll be driving and it will come to a part that it hasnt loaded yet and I'll have to wait for it to load. It plays the originals just fine, and it played this backup just fine, then yesterday BOOM it started messing up. Is this a problem with my ps2?? Can it be fixed by possibly cleaning the laser lens?? Any ideas??
cleaning and adjusting the laser may help.
Also cleaning the disc as it may have dirt or a fingerprint
in a polace that is screwing it up.
But i would say if the original disc does this than it is
most likely the laser, so clean it first. If that don't work
try adjusting it, if that don't work get a new laser installed.
I cleaned the laser.....wasn't even dirty lol. I guess it's the media I'm using. I used to use Ridatas and had no problems, but I recently got a cd printing printer, so I wanted hub printable dvds, so I had to go with ProDisc brand. I copied the game to a ridata I had left over....game plays fine, prodisc copies (3 of them) all mess up. Guess I'm out $20 on media, but at least I know now. Thanks for the help anyway.
Anyone know any good hub printable dvd+rs? Has to be + as my burner only does +r.
i had the same problem with printable DVD's
I saw some one sale and bought them, TDK 8X DVD+R
Movies on them are hit or miss, and games just came out
crappy. So i went back to old faithful
Philips 8X DVD-R, work every time for movies or games.
I use the printable DVD's in my DVD Writer to copy things
from my Tivo to DVD, that is about all they seem to be good for.
My ridatas are printables also, they just aren't hub printable. One site analyzed all the dvd brands and prodisc was said to work 80-100% of the time. I've been 0 for 3 lol. My ridata hub printable cd-r's are wierd. My in home cd player wont read them (they read others fine) but it plays better in my car cd player that has a laser problem lol.
