Hi,
Before I Start i know that there are FAQS and other threads that have explained this and I have (for the love of god)read and tried but I can not seem to back the sucker up. I have the original but not a chipped ps2 only swap magic 3.6 and am dying to play it. I have all the programs dvd decryptor, apache2 but i get lost when trying to use these programs. I have search the web for other faqs and thay all seem to vary in some way or have computer talk i dont understand, even ps2hd web site has pics to show you what to do which are not displyed by my pc (dont know why). I have ripped iso, then opened it with apache gone to option to extract layer then things get a little hazey and the then when it comes to put it back together using dos and bits, thats it my head hurts i get upset so......... What im tring to say is you guys rock i suck!!!! and if its not to much trouble please can someone help me and explain it as simple as posible.

Your help is much appreciated

Hi adam, you might have more luck if you post this in the PS2 forum, I will ask to have it moved. Good luck.

You need to "rebuild" this game, it is a DVD9 base game, meaning it's over 4.7GB and it won't fit on a single DVD-R or DVD+R disc. Go here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515 for more info on how to rebuild or patch a game. Below are the tools you need in order to get Xenosaga works properly for Swap Magic 3.6 Plus and Flip Top or Slide Card users.

- DVD Decrypter (to rip & burn your ISO)
- Apache 2 (to extract both Layers of ISO or files from the original game)
- ISO Buster Pro 1.8 (not necessary since Apache 2 can extract both layers, but it's good to have)
- Gnie's IML2ISO (to convert IML into ISO)
- CDVD GEN 1.5 (to rebuild your ISO)
- CDVDGEN_ISOBuilder_by_JRLS (it's a very useful tool to have as well)

Good luck!!

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Thanks for the help I have read the link and thats the one i have been trying to follow, but when I get to part 4 and get confused which files do I add?? the ones that I have apache extracted on the first layer, the original ones from the iso or all of them. Then record them to hdd (i quess that puts them as a single layer) then part 6 and 7 just confuse me. Any chance of someone explaining 4,5,6,7 in real dumb dumb terms because for some reason i just dont get it. Maybe I need some sleep been trying for a few hours straight!!

Again thanks for your help im sure its simple enuff and anoying for you to keep repeating yourselves but im sure that ill get it if some can just put it in a different way
