I tried to installa fliptop, but I had no philips small enough.
So I figured meantime lemme try a slide card load.
So I didnt see any mention on removin the screw to free the front part so I busted those 2 tabs by accident.
then I didnt see anything to use the slide card on, so I said forget it.
Now I hook it back up, hit eject and just comes out a few centimeters id say, then back in.
I tried to pull on it, no dice.
How screwed am I?
Well I managed to find thaqt white pin, and used a slide card and chunk of cardboard, barely moves to the left, and tray doesnt come out.
I guess I can only hope it fixes itself once I get the small phillips and install the fliptop.
I guess if eject never works again, Ill still have flippage.
same sort of problem happend to me. my ps2 disc drice wouldnt fully eject. it would open a bit and go back in. i tried to move the white clip with the slide tool but it wouldnt move.
so i sent my ps2 back to sony and they gave me a new one.
so up to my knowledge your quite screwed. but i may be wrong. :p
Ok, I just got up from madness. HAd a party at my house and everyone but me had fun cuz im sick again for the 4th time sincehalloween.
And then got depressed a bit thinking I broke the ps2. But again, rationalized that if I go fliptop, I wont really need tray, but figured itd work out in time.
disregard. figured it out. the plastic molding that holds the disc in if you place the system vertically popped out somehow. popped it back in and installed xploit via custom slide card.
