I have a V4 Fliptop cover for my PS2. My SwapMagic disk cracked and my PS2 will no longer recognize it. I have heard the Gameshark can boot burnt PS2 games imports. Is this true?

Just get order another copy of the Swap AMgic Disc.

well, if I had a visa check card or a credit card I would. When I bought mine (v2.0) it came with the CD & DVD version. I spent $30 on it. Plus I dont want to wait a month to get it. And you didnt answer my question...do gamesharks work?

These are pretty much the same steps you would use for loading with gameshark, but this way is free and only old versions of gameshark work anyways.
1. get cd loader, burn it to cd. http://www.exploitstation.com/files/CDLoader_V7_ALL.zip
2. load cd loader with your swap magic cd
3. eject the disc and insert a big original ps2 game
4. let it read, then hit x
5. swap for your dvd backup

yeah you burn to cd. Which swap magic disc is broken, the cd or dvd (i was assuming the dvd is broke and your still have the swap magic cd)?

it didnt work. here is what I did.
1. I put in the Swap Magic CD Version.
2. I put in the CD Loader CD-R when it said "Load program", and I hit "X". It made the screen start flashing.
3. Put in an original PS2 game in and nothing happened.
what am I doing wrong?

No, CDLoader didnt load anything. The CD Swap Magic didnt recognize it, I dont think.
I burned it after I unziped the folder and just burn the 2 files. Did I do it wrong?

the files inside the zip file are cd images. You select burn image in whatever program you use and select only 1 of the 2 (which 1 you select depends on what burning program your using).

.iso and .mds = dvd image (the .mds just points to the .iso)
.bin and .cue = cd image (the .cue just points to the .bin)

I use Nero, do I burn it as an ISO? and do I just burn the BIN File. I figured it would have had a "CD Image" type of picture instead of the blah looking thing

There are so many different versions of Nero that i can't give you exact directions. Somewhere should be a BURN IMAGE option. You cant just burn the bin file as a data disc, you must use the burn image option.

Thats why in my directions, you have to insert an original ps2 dvd game before you insert your backup/import dvd (btw, your original needs to be bigger than the backup/import your trying to load).

I cant believe you have never used cd loader, a lot of games require it to load with swap magic 2.0.
Ive gave you all the instructions on how to load dvds with your swap magic cd.

okay
1. put in Swap Magic CD in to PS2. Loads
2. It loads and says "Load program"
3. Open the flip top and take out SM and place in CDLoader.
4. The screen goes red and brings up CDLoader.
5. The screen says "Change the disc and hit 'x'"
6. Open Flip top and take out CDLoader and place in Original PS2 game.
7. Hit 'x'. A messege saying "Error can not read disc"
