well where should I start?

I have a version 10 PS2 that is modded with a DMS4 Lite, that ran fine for about 8 months until my bro burned somehow the laser. I took the PS2 for a repair and well it looked fine because I could run games fine off the HDD, but when I ran gamas off a DVD it only ran for about 20 mins and after that whenever the Ps2 tried to load of the disc it wouild frieze. i took the PS2 back to where it was repaired and they changed the laser and tried a game at their place which loaded succesfully. however, when I got home it only ran a game off a disc for about 20 mins again and frieze again.

Does anybody know what's going on? I dont wnat to take the PS2 back to the repair shop again.

It sounds like a media issue. What brand of discs are you using? Do originals still load okay?

OK

I forgot to tell you that, it doesn't matter if it's an original or a backup. And my backups are burned at 2X and the media is Ritek.

By the way, after booting one game and the game friezes, I cant boot nothing else because there is a "error reading disc."

Ps2 DVD's hard to boot.
PS2 CD's will boot easly.
PS1 CD's will boot.
Haven't tried DVD's (movies)
