I just got done putting my dms4 pro modchip into my v7 ps2 and now when i power it on the screen just stays blank, the ps2 turns on and all that it just doesnt boot? Do i need to do something other than just soilder in this chip??

It sounds like you bridged some connections. Go back and make sure you soldered everything in the right place and check and make sure the chip legs don't have solder in between them.
