I bought moded ps2 slim from modchips.com.downloaded game burned with deceifer used sony dvd+r when i put in game(prince of persia all that happens is the picture continuosly rolls it looks like the game is there is there something im doing wong? this happens on call of duty also. other games work fine like true crimes new york city. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those games are probably from a different region. Which modchip do you have? I think most come with a region selector option.

when ps2 came it had no info with it and even missing AVI cor. however when i start up ps2 i get toxic with skull and cross bones

Hey you got the same chip as mine then! A DMS4 PRO with ToxicOS. Wait, which version of ToxicOS do you have? It should say on the top right corner when your in the ToxicOS menu (hold R1 when PS2 is booting). The most recent is ToxicOS 0.41 and the ToxicBIOS 1.4 (BIOS gets flashed first). In the ToxicOS menu, go to settings and there should be some sort of Force Video mode. I'll edit back when I get back home.

Update: It should say PS2 video mode fix. I haven't tried these yet, so I'm not sure which option to choose. If you're game is PAL, I would say to use Force PAL.

OK a ps2 doesnt work unless it is DVD-R DVD+R isnt that compatable so there is a sale at officemax 25 for 8 bucks

I've read that V1-V3's don't work at all with DVD+R, V4 is like 50/50 and the later versions should play them fine. And if your burner can booktype DVD+R to DVD-ROM, then it should work better.

thanks for the info. i just started over by renting original from store for a $1.00 each, then use decipher to read iso then burned to DVD+R and get perfct copy (backup that is) only takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete and are working perfect on my ps2 mod thanks for the help this is a great forum
