Hello I currently have a version 4 ps2 that has a bad laser and disc tray and I was wondering if I should just buy a new ps2 or buy a new disc tray w/laser for $64. If I get a new ps2 I wont be able to get flip top/ swap disc. Please help me

I would buy a new ps2. You might be able to get another one for that price.

umm i rather say dont buy another ps2.this works for me:fix laser disc read error using isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip and lightly spread over laser and let it dry.also u dont need the tray to work remove screws on the bottom gently remove top bcuz theres a wire attached and place to side now unscrew the little screws and put games in manually.or just wait for ps3.if you wanna know more about the secret method i told you ask.

It does work, but thats for the bad laser probs, If the laser is very currupt than obviously it wouldnt work
