Greetings.

After reading through the forums here, I think some of you may be able to help me out.. (I would be very grateful)

OK... I think one of my chilluns pulled the slim ps2 (version 12 I think, (700012 on the back) and now it won't power on.

The little red LED stays lit once the power cable is plugged into the back, but pushing the power/reset button does not make it turn green or blue. (keep in mind I am red/green colorblind, so ....)

I've tried taking the power cord out, putting a disk in, opening up the case and looking at the blue/white/silver ribbon with no luck.

The ribbon (although fragile looing) seems to be in good shape. I've not yet taken it out to check for continuity, but that may be my next step.

Any clues you guys can offer? I'm not mod-chipped at all, this is the first time I've cracked it open.

The only other thing I can think of is the cd-tray sensor that's attached to the little power-button pwb looks alittle funny. I wouldn't think that would have any effect though, as I should be able to power on the machine with the disk tray open.
