Is it possible to directly connect a v4 regular ps2 to a slimline with a ehternet cable and each console have its own tv display? I have the network adapter for the regular ps2 and the slim already has ethernet hookup.
I have a Super G 108 Mb/s router, i also have two(2) computers with LAN ports and dlink Super G 108 Mb/s wireless cards. Could I connect each playstaion to one computer by ethernet and have the signal go over the wireless cards and router?
Yes you can. Just use put the ethernet cable plug em in for both ps2's, and if you have 2 tvs close to the routers then you'll be able to play them together
When i connect the PS2's to the computer is automatically recognized and all and loaded automatically? Running windows XP pro on both machines. Or do i need to bridge the Lan and wireless connections? Or do i need some software? Or something else?
You'll need to bridge the connections.
Make sure ip adress and all that is set to automatic or w/e.
You may have to restart the router and/or your pc's before it'll work.
I hooked the slime PS2 to the laptop and it did not recognice it, I turned of the laptop and PS2 but still nothing.
here is a pic of the setup
what do i do?
thats a wireless router by the way
Ah, now there's one difference, if you want to hook 2 computer devices *in this case the laptop and the ps2* together, you'll need a crossover cable. *you can get those at any computer store, they're very common, and shouldn't be to expensive, unless you need a really long one*
