Could be a overheating issue. What happens, does it just sit at the browser screen?

Just take a normal home fan and point at the PS2's (slimline) front vents. Thats what I do, and it works 99.99999% of the time.

Home fan, naah, thas two big, get a centrifugal fan from ebay, excellent, or get a fan, and make a small vent way, and stick it in the back of ur ps2's vent with a fan on one side, and the machine stays REAL cool.

I am not totally sure but I think that the mod chip that you have has overheating protection, that basically means that the chip will switch off after the machine gets too hot. And within the 1 hour it cools down. This whole ps2 slimline getting hot thing is definitly to defeat those overheating protected mod chips. The heat is enough for the ps2 to handle, but not enough for some mod chips.

Yeah just use a regular big house fan thats what I do since when I'm playing my PS2 Top can stay open so I stand a fan leaning on it and never had a problem.
