Thks Nelswick, and Daniel G for yr help re burning the ps2 games. So I can copy the games but then I have to get a mod chip? or as you suggested I can use the Swap Magic. Can you pls tell me where I can get that disk from? I live in British Columbia, Canada. And you also said it's better to get a mod chip than use the swap magic, If I get the chip, would I be able to install it. I am new to all this stuff, so pls bear with me.

As I mentioned before I really can't afford to buy too much more, I thought I would be able to copy some of the games from my sons cousin, or friends as u know they cost a fortune. do u know approx what a mod chip costs? And how do I know if I'm getting the real deal or not, I mean do they have any fake mod chips or anything like that?
Thks again

There are a few legit modding sites online *can't give you adresses though, cause i only know one of them, and they don't take orders at the moment* and one way to get a legit chip is to order it directly from the manufacturers, or just check their sites, the companies that make the DMS and Matrix modchips list some of their sellers on their sites.
As for installing it yourself, i'd advise against it unless you're really experienced in soldering *which is a requirement for a chip*
As for swapmagic, i can't help you on where you should order it, but i'm sure there's enough people here that can give you some advise on that.
One final note, next time, please just ask your next question in the first thread you opened in stead of opening a new one, because this clutters up the forums.

mod chips run about $50 in the US
i will list some sites but they may only ship to the US i think, but you can double check.

You can get Swap Magic and a fliptop but in the end it will cost about the same, as every time they upgrade you have to buy new discs. Where as a good mod chip like DMS4 Pro or Matrix Infinity have free flash upgrades about once a year.
And as stated above i would not try to do this yourself. It is just not a job for someone who doesn't know their way around the motherboard, or taking apart a system, not to mention the 17 tiny soldered wires. You can check the site in my sig below, teammodders.com, they install chips and may be able to do it for you if you send the PS2 and chip. I know those guys and they do a great job, and stand by their work if anything does happen to go wrong for any reason.
here is a picture of what i mean about doing it yourself. Just so you know what you would be facing. You would have to solder on all those tiny red, white & blue wires
