is true that spins too fast and that can damage the len ?
or that only can happen with some chips ?
is safe to play psx1 games in a psx2?
can some chips damage my psx 2 when i play psx1 games?

i've had problems with blue discs in the past with my magic v chip. but when i put a black disc in the ps2 i started hearing ticks in my ps2. most all blue discs spin fast when they're in the ps2 but black discs like ps1 shouldn't spin fast. though a black disc could wreck your laser like it did to me. i got a new laser but it was no use. it was my modchip that was defected. i returned my chip in for a new one and no discs spin fast anymore. if i were you id get swap magic and a flip top. i hope i helped.
