Hey guys i looked around to find how to do it. i found a guide on megagames but its not that detailed. can someone tell me in details on how to do this. after modding my ps2 for some reason my dvd would not read any discs. i tried my mainboard on my friends ps2 and it worked. i cleaned lens and did the whitegear but sitll. would it mater if the gear is in original position and the laser on the handrails? since i played with this without marking the original spot.

These are the things i am suppsoed to be playing with correct? if so which is DVD and CD blue or red? and form this angle do i calibrate it counetrclock wise or clockwise?

Thank You

What i would do it turn it counter clockwise first, because its better that you try to get less voltage to the laser and see if it starts reading before you start giving it extra voltage.

So get a permanent marker and make a spot on the pot so you know where to move it back when you need to put it back in the original position, you will have to turn the one your having problems with, if you cant read dvd's but can read cd's then you hav to adjust the dvd pot, if vice versa then the cd pot.

first of all afte you make the mark just keep turning the screw 1 degree anti clockwise until you hit the 20 degree turn, if during these turns it didnt work, then go back to the starting position where you put the pen mark, and start again, but this time turn it clockwise, one degree at a time, to c if it makes a difference, go up to 20, if it still doesnt work, you might have to go more then 20 degrees, but its up to you.
