Hi, I was wondering on what I could do next as my server (news.ntlworld.com) does not have many big ps2 newgroups like:
a.b.the-terminal
a.b.cd.i.ps2.dvdiso
Other than subscribing to one is there not any other good ps2 newgroups.

Not sure about Newsgroups.. but BitTorrent is the best way to go in my opinion. Other than that I'm not sure there are a lot of PS2 newsgroups channels out there.

Torrents are shockingly bad, newsgroups are the way forward.
Check out http://www.newzbin.com/ for listings of groups etc..

Yes, I tried doing that. In nezbin I searched for PS2 and then i seen the one with the most posts, and that was a.b.the-terminal, but when i tried to add it in Grabit it was not there.
However there are millions for the Xbox.

try updating the list of available newsgroups.
from my past experience with NTL, the did start to block out alot of the main binary groups.
Why not just pay for a decent news server, can get unlimited usage pretty cheap these days.

I'll try updating my grouplist then, but I think ive tried it before.
If not I'll just pay for a server.

Torrents are usually amazing when you use registered trackers!

If you in the EU try www.newshosting.com or www.eurofeeds.com
Both have full newsgroup listing, and are both reasonably priced..
I prefer to unlimited usage on newshosting, they also have longer file retention (40 days).
Not sure about US im afraid :(

I'll create an account in www.eurofeeds.com so does this also means that if you your internet provider blocks some newsgroups then you have no choice but to pay for one.

Yea, pretty much.
My ISP doesnt block any groups, but the retention and download success rate pretty much sucks, so i've decided to pay as well.
