It seems when I slap a label on a disc, it has a hard time reading ,or messes up in different ways.Does anybody else have this problem?

Yes I too have had this problem. Once i took them off, i had no problems anymore. The labels cause the disc to spin unevenly thus the laser having probs reading em. You can probably get away with just the core label though.
