some pictures has been linked to reduce this pages load time
This takes time and patience

1.
Here is the equipment needed
Electric tape, tweasers, 2 knifes, small peice of plastic or wood and Swap magic

Modified tweasers Put tape arround the end so it gets a good grip and does not scratch you disk

2.
And here is is a photo of a slim ps2 XD with the areas needed to tape

3.
Now take a little peice of tape and a small peice of plastic or wood(actually anything that fits) Make sure it is not too small so cant lose it in your ps2

4.
Place the little peice of plastic at area 1 and tape it down

5.
Now take a peice of tape and tape the sensor back at area 2

6.
Now put swap magic in. And take a peice of tape, now tape your lid 1/4

7.
Open (your cd/dvd should start to spin) like so

8.
Now start swap magic and wait until the cd/dvd stops spining

9.
Now swap magic should be loaded

10.
Use the "modified tweasers to take the cd/dvd out)Be careful not to push the lid up or you will get a refresh TOC/not a valid ps2 disk
http://fapomatic.com/show.php?loc=03&f=output_1.gif

11.
Now slide you backup in the ps2 with your fingers or the tweasers (I used my fingers to put it in)
http://fapomatic.com/show.php?loc=03&f=in_1.gif

12.
Use 2 butter knifes and push the cd/dvd down so it can snap in. Again be careful not to push the lid up or you will get a refresh TOC/not a valid ps2 disk
http://fapomatic.com/show.php?loc=03&f=press.gif

13.
This step is optional i used extra tape to close the cover like so

http://fapomatic.com/show.php?loc=03&f=done_1.gif

14.
Now press X and you game should boot

If the game does not boot then turn off you slim ps2 (I unpluged it from the back) and restart it may take some time)(it took me like 12 trys at first but now i do it in one shot.
Have fun and enjoy!!! :)

Tell me what you think =)
If you know of any risk or any other problems please post a reply about it.

It was done on a V14 (SCPH-75001) but it should work on all versions of the slim ps2

This thread highly deserves a sticky.

I have a PS2 version 12 and Magic Switch Pro. I have installed A, B and C (not too sure if I've installed B right). The PS2 wont spin any disc. Now that I have lost my tool A, I think I am going to give a try your method. I will post my result ASAP.

It worked. I used tool C and taped the others. I have ran the origional GT4 disc perfectly. I was having problem with Swap Magic. I could get it to work but I was unable to boost my NSTC Metal Gear Solid 2 backup. After the swap, the disc kept spinning further but nothing came out of the blank screen. I had tried that for around five times then gave up. Since that was my only backup, I couldn't try any further.

No no no swap magic would boot and stop like it supposed to be, but when I put the backup disc in and loads it, the disc keeps spinning but nothing comes up on the screen. I have tried the combation of swap magic and my origional GT4 disc and it won't load. Swap magic says my GT4 disc is not a valid PS2 disc. Weird!
