Laser Wire Ribbon Disconnected... help?

On accident, my reset ribbon cable disconnected.. so I had to get into my ps2 to put it back in. That fixed THAT problem, but now when I turn on my ps2, it does the "spins cd for a second" problem. I opened my ps2 back up, and noticed the ribbon cable that connects to the laser is now disconnected. It is the end that is closest to the laser, and I am trying to put it back it, but I can't even press it back to its original spot!! Am I missing something, or am I screwed?

Where the white section is, is where it's disconnected.
