PLZ HELP .. NEED INFO ON HD ADVACE 3.0 AND MOD CHIPS

hello there , i am currently running a 160 gb hd with hd advance 2.0 , i wish to upgrade due to the fact that with my current set up , some of the games will load but wont play .. ex : madden 2006, killzone , hot shots golf fore, ect ..i think its because these games use dvd 9 ... i think.. lol.. if i get hd advance 3.0 will more of these games work ?.... also, if i get hd advance 3.0 , can i run the games that i loaded with the hd advance 2.0 and is the max gb on the hard drive 300 gb with 3.0.. ( i know i know lots of questions } lol .. im ingnorant so to speak... also . if i get a external mod chip will i be able to put my ps1 games on my hard drive and play them ?.. and if not . is there a way to do so ?
and if so .. what do i need to get ?.. i am willing to pay any price to be able to do all of these things . spared no exspence ..
will someone who knows a lot plz help me in my quest to make my ps2 do everything .. any replies would be greatly appreciated.. thankyou .

3.0 does support a few more games that 2.0 didn't but some games are just not able to be played of the HDD, no way around that currently and some can be patched (do a little searching) to play of the HDD.

all games loaded with any version will load with any other version of the software, you will not have to reload any of them.

your not going to be able to play the PS1 games off the HDD.

your best bet is to get a MC Exploit then you can use elf launched loaders to access the HDD, you can then always upgrade the launcher as any new patched version come available.

If you want to play Madden 2006 , Killzone etc etc then why not try HDLOADER.... you can create a MC Exploit and run HDLOADER from your MC

thank you so much for your quick and helpfull replies , i have no idea what a mc exploit is .. but i think i use it somehow with my computer ehh?.... i cant get on the internet with my ps2 anymore due to the internal ip address settings being changed/...something to do with the hd i geuss ... i just purchased hd advance 3.0 .. which the people that sold it to me said that it was loader .. but it wasent called that anymore due to legal reasons ... if the menu in it says loader .. then will it only hold 120 gb instead of the 160 that i have? i also purchaced a mod chip ... a dms4 internal mod chip ..
i dont know what all i can do with that thing but something tells me that its gonna help me a lot .. ill see what i can do about all the elf launced loader and the mc exploit on my lap top .. oh yeah .. i do need to somehow get that stuff into the hd on my ps2 right ?... i think the mod chip will help me with that .. using a cdr .. i think .
if i had a desktop, i geuss i would take my hd and hook it up to the power and flat wires in my desktop to make a new drive .. and then it would just be a matter of moving files ... i sure hope this works ..
to bad about the ps1 games ... even with the mod chip theres no way ehh .. oh well ... someone should invent it ... once again thank you very much for the help ... im gonna check out that link you guys gave me .... i just hope ive got the right idea about how to get the patch on my ps2 well till next time .. later :} you guys are great !
