Teammodders.com isn't gonna work for me. Dave doesn't have the crystal 1.1 chip, and i have to buy it, so i have to wait 1 week and pay extra for shipping.
try Xmodd then.
I bought a premodded slimline from them.
It has worked great for a year now.
Although it did take them over 3 weeks to get in the chip, install it, and get it to me. And that is a premodded system, not a system i sent to them.

yes $85 includes return shipping and we use usps or ups and also its a
3 month warranty on the install, we have been very busy with install but
we will be caught up by Sat, it will 2 about 2 days from when we recieve
it to ship back
Thanks
Eric
doesn't sound too bad
how's the console u got? any problems?
their customer support seems to be pretty good. they replied to my email in less than 20 minutes.
http://www.xmodd.com/ this is the place i was talking about
and no i have had zero problems with my slim
it has a DMS4 Pro chip and Summone laser fix.
they install a laser fix in all their premodded units for free.
$85 for the chip, install and shipping sounds very fair.
That's about $35 for the chip, $35 for the install and $15 shipping
plus of course your cost of shipping it to them.
Xmodd charges $110 + shipping
i ordered from xmodds.com yesterday. paid them. gonna ship my ps2 today. the customer service guy is very helpful. and he reply's fast. or maybe i just caught him by his computer
just thought you might also want to know this.
it is from the official Crystal Chip site
"Will Crystal Chip allow me to play copied (aka "backups") or import games?
Crystal Chip will not allow you to play copied or import games. While it does allow you to read "burned" media discs, we have specifically designed our software patches to disallow the execution of game discs. There are 2 main reasons for this. The first reason is that in many countries, it is illegal to play copied and/or import game discs even if you own the original disc. The second reason is that Crystal Chip is intended for legally launching "homebrew" software. Due to the aforementioned legal problems, we felt it best to keep any questionably-legal features out of the Crystal Chip design so as not to become confused with so-called "modchip" devices which have been deemed illegal in some countries. While we understand that many people use these devices to legitimately back up their game discs or play import software which is not available in their region, we also respect the fact that different people are subjected to different laws in regard to consumer rights."
