i sent my ps2 to xmodds.com. they're installing a cc 1.1. they received it today, so i should be getting it back by friday.

am i supposed to run the online start up disc that came with my ps2 before i get it modded or after i get it modded? are there any precautions or things i should do?

and do i need to turn off the chip or put it on standby? how do u do that on a cc1.1? i can't find a manual anywhere (google, forums, crystal-chips.com)
