Hi,
I now have serious problems with both the ps2`s in my house.I bought magic keys 2 so i could use swap magic.They are both slim line ps2s.I opened the first ps2 and glued down the switch so i would still be able to close the lid,as if you use the new slim tool you cant close the lid.I done the same with the second ps2.Now,when i switch the ps2 on,the power is working,but the disk will not spin.I have fitted the other 2 parts perfectly,so i know its not them.any help much appreciated :)

can you here it trying to start when you put the disc in if so it could be that the tool that goes in by the hinge could of moved

thats what happened to mine when i first got them i had to take them out and put them in agian put the two little ones in first where the lid shuts in the corner and the other one in the break power it up and put the one where the hinge is in make sure you have you swap magic disc and a controla in and move it till disc spins yoll will hear when you have done it right i did have troble with mine but it spot on now if that doesnt sort the problem out try mk2 tools they are good

Hi Guys,
thanks for the replies.I have removed part a and part b from the ps2 and it still wont work.So basically,i have two ps2`s that are suffering the same fault.the switch inside is still glued down,and it dont matter whether the lid is open or shut..it still wont spin any disks.I have used pro switch and magic keys 2 before.The reason i opened the ps2s and glued the switch down was because i didnt want to use them with the lid open.any further help would be great.thanks :)

what kind of glue did you use it might of gone some where it shouldnt have i glued mine in place cos the sticky keeped comming off but i made shure i didnt get it on the sencors i think thats what you have done but i cant shut the lid on mine i just cover it up when im not useing it i done somthing like that to my other one but it was under warrenty......
