PS1 CDR backups won't play on PS2 v14 w/ CC1.1

Hi guys. just got a new v14 modded with cystal chip 1.1 to replace my dead v4. i have upgraded to hackfirm ware r19, with bootmanager 1.8
i can run my PS2 originals and backups (all DVDs) alright. but having problem running by PS1 backups on CD-R.

i hear the laser moves, and the disc spin, keeps trying but fails to bootup. they play on my modded PS1.

cd-r is Ritak, burned with Alcohol 120 and Nero 6.6.

the mod installer told me to try r18. no change.
any ideas? anyone else have this problem with cc1.1?

tried to use the older r16 hacked firmware, but the burned upgrade disc does not load up.
also tried to used the offiacl r19 firmware from the cc site. saw no change what so ever. still able to play all the DVD games (originals and backups) but no the CDR games.
whats up with that. should i return to the mod installere for another copy.
