Hi,
Just literally got me new Slim PS2, Premodded Matrix Infinity. Set it all up, and now it doesn't seem to play anything. Not a Game (PS2 and PS1) nor DVD. I'm new to all of this, but doesn't even seem to run the discs, or anything, can't even recongise there is a disc. All I can see is my memory cards.
Surfed all over Yahoo for links on FAQs and stuff. Came here, signed up, still couldn't find anything.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. Or something wrong with the installation (read something about Laser Fix, maybe that...).
And to confirm, yes, I do get the Matrix bot screen when I turn it on. But compared to another screen shot on these forums, it doesn't say the firmware version. Just says Matrix.
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, or it has been anwsered, and I just over looked it. But I did try and have a good search.
CHEERS!

You shouldn't post your name. People will take that and steal your identity or spammers will take it and send you a bunch of ads. Also I have no idea about the ps2. Looks like you got ripped off.
If you have any questions that have not been awnsered send me a private message ASAP.

Quote: I have no idea about the ps2
If you got nothing that contribute's to the thread, don't post mate..
Ok, those Matrix Infinity chips.. there are a lot of fakes about.. you should investigate into that matter, also, some chips burn out the laser very quickly (especially fakes!) so you see if you have any warranty on it, or if you can get your PS2 fixed, because I think you're laser and your chip has basically gone..

Never said you couldn't.. all I'm saying.. is that if you don't have something worthwhile to say, don't say anything at all. Posting information which does not help the thread (doesen't contribute) is useless and tend's to be rather annoying. Next time, If you don't know the answer/solution to the problem - Don't post!

have you tried going to the Matrix Team website, getting the newest flash and reflashing the chip?
They may have installed it but not flashed it, then the chip would have some functions but not play back up games.
It is worth a try and would only set you back one CD
But i would figure that even unflashed it would still play originals.
I would surely contact the people who did it and see what they will do about it as well. People should stand behind their work.
