I have been looking all over the net to buy Swap Magic 3.6 and the laser dioder fix. I have a v12 PS2. I want to buy them both at the same spot so thats why I have been looking for a while now, but I found a site called modchip world dot com(Not mod chip DOT com. Two different sites). They have Swap Magic with the tools for the slim ps2 for $25.00 and then the laser diode fix for the v12 for $4.99. Shipping is $9.00. Does this sound like a good price and has anyone bought from them before. I don't want to get ripped off. Also before I buy this stuff, is it legal to buy this stuff for the purpose of making back ups of my PS2 games. I don't want to get in trouble buying this stuff. Thanks

i dunno about the swap magic deal, although the prices sound ok but i never do internet shopping, so wait for someone hu can give u better advice.

but i can assure you that u need not to worry about buying swap magic. u won't get in trouble, many thousands of ppl use without any trouble. so as long as u make legal backups (wink wink), u r pretty much safe.

yeah, those prices are normal for what you are getting.
I would wait for a post from someone who may have bought from the site just to make sure they are legit.
And which laser fix is it? Summone, Comsoft V4, Neofix?

Thanks for the help so far guys, I just don't want to get burned. As to what type of laser fix it is, it just says ps2 laser fix. Here is a link to the picture of it. I change the tt to xx, cause I don't know if we are allowed live links so if I am breaking any rules here please just delete it. http://www.modchipworld.com/popup_image.php?pID=133

this is what a neofix looks like.

and here is the Comsoft V4

and the Summone fix like i have just connects the resistors
directly to the motherboard. Soldered right on.
you can see the difference in quality of what they have VS the real thing.
