Hello i own a PAL PS2 Slimline and for some reason The Day After Tomorrow Two Disc Special Edition all my dvds i own are PAL format so should have no issues playing i checked the dvd and it has no scratches and is still in new condition. but nothing to stop it playing? i purchased the dvd from play.com when it came out i am wondering if its an american dvd or something? however dvd has pal logo on it

Btw i tried the film "contact" and it loaded straight away.. i currently have Swap Magic 3.6 coming in the post


Edit: weird after switching off ps2 at the mains then rebooting it its playing...

The slimline PS2 is just not a great DVD player.
I had problems with some DVD's where parts would go weird on me.
Then i bought a stand alone Lite-On DVD Recorder/player
and they all played great.

yeah i noticed its not a good dvd player i use my pc in my bedroom to play dvds wanted to test out PS2 and 1st dvd it wouldnt play lol
