I have downloaded 2 PS2 games. i put them on a Infinate DVD and works perfect. I put 1 on a Swisstec (because i dont have no more Infinte) they dont seem to play. Why?

I know people say these are LOW quality but what is the difference with Low and High? there just DVDs aint they?

Some reason my ps2 wont accept the swisstec dvds :( its annoying

no, DVD are not just DVD's and quality DOES matter
different manufacturers use different quality dyes when they make them. The cheap one's use cheap dye which will do one of 3 things for you
1. wear out your PS2's laser because it has to work harder to read it
2. your game after fequent use will just stop working due to the cheap dye wearing out or getting distorted.
3. the games will have slow loading times, or audio/video problems

Trust me, we are not getting any kick backs from the DVD manufacturers just for suggesting you use their DVD's :)
You may have to pay a little more for quality but in the long run you will just get better results.

Cheap DVDs will not wear out you laser. But cheap DVDs will not keep the data intact as long on the disk. Best bet is to buy a decent DVD like TDK, SONY, or FUJI, and burn it at a slow speed. The slow speeds have deeper burns and the DVD should be readable longer.
