Hi There,
Apologies for asking something which Im sure has already been answered, but I was reading through other threads and got a bit confused. Here is what I currently have:

V12 Slim PS2
DMS4 Pro with Toxic OS 0.4

I am looking to attach a HDD to the PS2 so i can boot games straight from the HDD, and not using the discs. Apologies for my "newbieness" but can someone run through all the bits i need and how i go about doing it.

Many Thanks
Dave

first thing i would do is read an HDD compatibility guide.
http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/
to ensure that you buy one that will work.

I can't get on the Toxic website right now as it is under construction, but you should upgrade your flash for your chip to V0.41 as they have fixed a few bugs in the newest release that they had with V0.4
http://sksapps.com/index.php?page=dms4.html V0.41 is the last one at the bottom.

I am pretty sure that the ToxicOS only works with IDE HDD's so i would read up on it and make sure you buy the correct type. I know many people who have done it with the older chucky versions that you can just stick an HDD in, but not too many with the slim so i hope someone who has can help you further with how to install and what type you can use with your chip.

and i have heard that this is a good program too. you would have to put the HDD in your PC and use this program to transfer the games on it, then out it back into your PS2 i think.

Um you also need HD Connect or HD Combo to make your PS2 see the Hard Drive Steimy I think he need to know that : \ You can get a HD Connect Here http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/di-ps2-hdcons For 20$ if you know how to Solder.
If you Can't Solder http://www.norcalmods.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=9
For 80$ with Special case and installation and the HD Connect. You need a XCM Case for this to fit outside your case I think also so

1). You can solder=20$ for XCM HD Connect+XCM Case

2). You can't solder=80$ With HD Connect+XCM Case+Installation

v7 w/ Crystal Chip 1.1, Boot Manager 1.8, and HD Loader v0.7c w/ 80 GB HD
v7 w/ DMS4 Pro and Toxic OS .41 w/ 200 GB HD
