how do I get the ps2 logo thingy off so i can use the slide tool ?

from what i was told......that little playstation logo should screw off of the disc tray.....which is where you stick the slide tool so your ps2 is eligible to play burnt games.....well.....tht little logo only turns 90 degrees.....

turn on your ps2 press the eject button so the tray cums out turn the ps2 off at the mains or the switch at the back of the console.turn the ps2 over and on the botoom of the tray in two of the corners there will be a screw unscrew then and the front of the tray will pop off

You don't just take the little logo off, you take the whole front piece that its attatched to off.
