PS2 v10 FREEZES bad

well i have a v10 and leave it on all the time i know thats not good but yesterday i went and bought ddr rev extreme 2 for my wife and put it in the ps2 pushed reset and nothing so i turned it off and back on and it showed the first screen but the picture the boxes in it are all kinda diffrent colors and it freezes i unpluged it and waited a lil bit pluged it back in the first screen was fine but then it froze at the very first of the game reset and it got the colors at the first screen and froze again there anyway u all get the point can anyone out there tell me what this could be did i mess up my ps2 or is it a bad cmos batt??? any info would be great the seal is still on but im willing to open it if needed

It probally over heated, IF you leave it on a carpet and left it on all the time, that would build up heat cause it to malfunction or melt. Maybe you can fix it, if you give it to a specialist but if the error keeps occuring after leaving it for a whole night, than I'm afraid there's nothing you can do, unless you try to get someone to repair it.

ok well i booted it up today and doesent seem to have any perm damage played 2 games for about 30 mins each so hope it was just warm and no damage
