I have a slimline ps2 and i am trying to play pes5 online but i can't set the thing up. I have a usb modem and I am using a crossover cable. I have setup internet connection sharing on windows and I have checked with my isp that I am allowed to use the ps2 and i am. The pc knows the ps2 is connected because when the cable from the back of my pc isn't connected there is an icon in the system tray saying a network connection is unplugged, and when I plug the cable into the ps2 this icon dissapears and is replaced by one that says I am connected. I have tried to the auto setup on the network connection disk and the manual but still no joy the ps2 just can't connect. Please can anybody help me I'm pulling my hair out.

It's better having a Router but, IS your's a PPPoA Connection?? or a PPPoE connection (PPPoE is a internet with a username and password
