dms4 ezi lite only worked once

its a ps2 v7 and took me forever to get the bios to flash.once i did it played a backup first thing w/ no problems. tried to use original game got nothing but no data. went back to the backup got same messege no data. after that i was able to get into new bios and disable the chip.that was it. took everything out and the ps2 played fine didnt miss a beat. any help would be great and thank you in advance.
