Ive been reading that You need a IDE HDD in a USB enclosure to load games, Cant I just buy a External 300gb Maxtor One touch backup hdd, and use usbextreme. Would this work?

I would actually prefer HD LOader or advance if possible with this maxtor usb one tocuh and ps2 slimline, Is this possible? I heard usbextreme is not very compatable
