I searched and didn't find anything about this....but what kind of connecter do I need to connect a laptop HDD to my PS2 (not slim)??

Just find a usb connecter that goes from ps2 to computer. It should work.

so are you saying to leave the HDD in the laptop and run a "usb network" between the laptop and ps2? (if so, i'm not sure if this is possible.)
