yeah if its a cable seach around for the loose or unatatched one and plug back in there should be a little peice of blue plastic this keeps the cable strait and flat. youl need this to get the cable to stay.

should be under the disc drive on the side wth the reset/eject buttons do not lift up hard on the tray or youl ripe out the rest of the wires. theres a clip on the front of the drive.

pop that clip on the front its silver then just lift up slowly also check for any srews mine had none but i dont know what version yours is.
