It took only, what 3-5 years, for me to want my PS2 online.

Anyway, I have the slimline PS2. I have a wireless network set up in my house. I wish to connect my PS2 to my laptop via an ethernet cable. I know to keep both on different IP addresses.

What else do I need to get online?

I've searched and read up about some network adapter disc. Is this necessary for the slimline PS2?

Thanks.

This is new territory for me. I'm usually in the DVD back up section.

love that movie! I never bothered setting my slim through my PC's When I want to go online I just plug an ethernet cable from my adsl modem or switch, directly into the back of the ps2, allthough I have a network disc, I think most games have a setup option in them somewhere, Well I know EA games do anyway coz the first time you play you'll have to setup an account with them, you cant use your central station account from the network accses disc to play them.

I can't directly wire the PS2 to the cable modem--it's in the basement, and my PS2 is in my room that's two levels up.

I do have the disc. Now I'm just trying to configure the connection.
