I just backed up one of my PAL games (Over the Hedge - german), ran the PAL2NTSC batch, since my PS2 is an NTSC, its booting, but unfortunately it runs up in french.
There is no menu item in the game to change the language (that much I can understand french....).
Does anybody know if there is some file to be edited before burning the ISO on the DVD?
I did try to search the formum for an answer already - well but I did not succeed to find anybody else has same troubles before.
Dude, his talking about the language of the game, normally if a game support more than one language, just when the game starts it asks which language you want to use.
Yes right - I am talking about the GAME language. Its originally German, my PS2 is from Korea (NTSC)- so the PS2 I can only switch between English and Korean - better stay there in English otherwise I am completely lost.
The story is - I bought the game - it is supposed be in German (since bought there) and it is PAL.
I made a ISO read with decrypter, patched it to NTSC and made my Backup CD.
Worked already with another game - luckily that one allowed me to choose a language when starting the game, but this one not...
It preselects automatically French - which is also on the DVD.
I am not sure if my ModChip is the reason for this, or maybe I burn the game but need to delete the french itesm first - I do not know.
Worst case need to get the English version, at least then I can help my kid getting arround through the adventures....
Yes, like i said in my earlier post, if a game has more than one language, it normally comes up when its started up, so you will have to get the english version if you want to play in english.
