There is not, there is NO new firmware for Starview 1, but there is for Starview 2, the post puzzled me too, but thought I would not bother about it, but drawn in again, all new fix's wil be announced at this thread/page. Keep an eye on there and you will not miss anything >>>>>>>>>>>>

hi I was wondering if you could help . I know I have a clone starview box , But I`m not sure which starview I have , When I go o system information it reads API VER 2.57E-e
bOOT VER 7.0 CAN ANY1 TELL ME IF THIS IS A STARVIEW 1 OR 2 PLEASE .

Hi my mates all have sv1 and sv1 clones was hopping the sunrise would shine on them. any news on new firmware. many thanx

no idea why my sv 1 is garnd ,sv2 has to update but the sv1 gets truckin as if no codes were changed at all!! finally goot my sv2 runnin with new firmware cheers to noelyf scouser to name but a few

late night last night noelyf?? i jacked in tring yesterday too much goin on around the threads ,,did a bit more reading there an hour ago an got it sorted out!! sweet as a nut !! might go upgrade the sv1 to the sv4 for the sake of it.wud you choose the sv4 or euro ?? im partial to the sv series as i have had them last no. of years !

Like yourself stephen, ive had the SV`s since day one, but if it was a choice between the SV4 & the EV ex 5000 for recording purposes, I think the EV would shade it. But if you just want to watch TV, then theres not much difference really.
Have a look around the old threads & it might help you decide :)
BTW, hang onto that SV1, it sounds like a good b0x lol.
