Refer to the PANDORA GUIDE: THOSE THAT HAVE CUSTOM FIRMWARE PSP

My magic gate memory card did not contain the OS Pandora Battery Tool, it only contain 3 files:

1)M33 3.71 update ver 1.50
2)1.50 Kernel Addon for 3.80
3)MUX update 2.0 by KSBO

did my installation for my Memory card miss out something>?

Thanks

recheck your Univer_File\ADD_ON\PSP\GAME
there should be a folder named "ospbt_05"
drag that into your PSP/GAME folder

you have to drag

Alright so I'm a running OFW 1.5 on my Fat PSP and I've followed the guide to the letter and have done everything required. Yet I don't get this screen http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h141/larrylje/writeboot.jpg
It just installs a few files and then cuts straight to the credits after it has finished writing the files. I've read several posts on this same thread regarding this issue and nothing has worked. I am running Win XP on my comp I have a 2gb Sony pro duo mem stick, I put the file in C:\Univer_File\EasyInstaller as was mentioned in one of the previous posts and nothing. I've also waited for the prompted instructions b4 removing my mem card and disabling my usb connection b4 formatting as was also mentioned in a previous post. None of these things have worked for me. Besides trying a diff comp or using a diff mem card is there something I could do to resolve this problem? Or is trying a different memory card or comp the only solution?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for you help.

With all due respect larrylje as indicated in my post. I have indeed read the previous posts on this specific thread in regards to this specific guide. And I have yet to find a solution to my problem. Which is why I posted my question in the first place. I've already indicated in my post that I've tried what was suggested and it still hasn't worked for me. Which is why I was wondering if there were any other suggestions anyone might have?

Have you even tried using a different PC and or Memory Stick? If not then why should anyone bother giving you suggestions if you don't try the suggestions already given in the thread.

No I haven't tried those two suggestions. As I indicated in my first post. I asked if those would be my only remaining options or if anyone had any further suggestions. A simple no there is nothing else you can do you should try a different memory card or computer, that would be the only solution left would have sufficed. Or any other friendly advice of course. The only reason I have yet to try those remaining options are that I don't have another comp or memory card handy. I was simply wondering if there was anything else someone might suggest. That is the whole point of posting is it not, to get help? No need to be rude and dismissive to someone trying to figure things out. Thanks for your help anyways, I'm sure you meant well.

This is completely safe if you follow the steps, Yes that will work, Download the Univer_File and place it on your desktop, then when your friend lends you his memory stick, run the easy installer, and follow the steps.
mso:/eeprom.bin backup will be on the memory stick, but you don't need to move it at all, when you are done installing 3.71 m33-2, turn off the psp, then remove the pandora, then turn the psp on, with the ac adapter. After XBM is up, put pandora back into psp, run OS battery tool and select "flash only serial from mso:/eeprom.bin"

Don't worry bout the mso://eeprom.bin file, it should stay in the memory stick.

Thanks alot Larry
When you put the Magic memory card + Pandora battery, you can do it without a ac adapter, just don't use it till you need to reconvert your pandora back. I dont think you should use ac cord, the pandora menu might not pop up.

when you say don't use the battery with the charger, you mean don't try to put the pandora in with the ac cord in as well right?
no ac adapter.

Just wondering, i already have cfw (= 3.60-->3.80-->3.71 m33-2-->3.71 m33-4

It doesn't matter if you have the AC Adapter plugged in when booting with the Pandora Battery.

If I try using my Pandora Battery (that doesn't hold a charge) it doesn't boot because there is no charge in the Battery itself. So I plug the AC-Adapter into the PSP that needs recovered/cfw installed and then place the Pandora Battery in and the Pandora Menu boots perfectly fine.

Just wanted to say this post is awesome. I was wondering if you planned on making up one of these for the new CFW 390. Its a very helpful prog you have done. or...how would one add the new CFW's and addons to this...or in any case...if I upgrade my CFW to 390m335 will I have to also add the 150 kernal addon again?
Sorry to be so n00bish but you seem nice enough to ask...and I may have missed this somewhere in the thread if so Im sorry.

There is still allot of users that like 3.71 M33 so I did not revise the guide with Despertar del Cementerio version 4. It only takes a few to update from 3.71 M33 to 3.80 M33 or 3.90 M33 which I have revised MUX 2.0 to include.

I try my best but I can get aggravated at times. I just hate repeating myself over and over. I also find it inexcusable that users ask for more suggestions before trying past trouble shooting advice given in past post.

Understandable. But sometimes, even for me, when a thread reaches so many people it can be easy to miss. I know I have missed some posts in threads due to the novel like size of everything. Even searches can be frusterating. But from all the places I have looked these you have posted are easily the #1 most helpful I have seen...and I have seen alot.
;)
thanks again for being a nice person in a sea of snakes.
