I'm having problems converting an avi file to dvd with tmpgenc. The output comes out as 207%. I've tried to use virtualdub to split into 2 avi files and do it that way. Virtualdub gives me the following message - "virtualdub has encountered an improper vbr audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard cbr values"

The long and short of it is that, video and audio are now well out of synch in the 2 split avi files. Should I rip the audio first? If so how? and with what?

Apologies if the answer is posted elsewhere, I did look but couldnt find anything to help.
