Please can anyone help me, I am new to this dvd ripping thing & have recently tried to save a dvd to avi using the DVD2AVi tool. But when I saved it to AVi it gave me a file for the vide & a file for the sound, is there a way to rip it as one file or a way to join the 2 together? The sound file format was AC3.

the best way to do it, is use dvd2avi to make the audio file and use tmpgenc to combine the audio file and video file(dvd2avi will use the ripped movie on the hd as the video file .dv2). Dvd2avi will get the structure info and create a small file (.dv2)that tmpgenc can use to create the movie. Get tmpgenc 2.57 or higher because it comes with a wizard to help with newbies.
