Toyota halts self-driving tests after Uber death

Earlier this week we reported about the first confirmed pedestrian fatality involving a self-driving car. The Uber's experimental car in question killed a woman in a collision in Tempe, Arizona. Now Toyota is following Uber's suit in temporarily halting tests. Toyota has announced that it is halting self-driving tests on public roads as a result of learning about the casualty. The only way self driving cars will ever be safe is if everyone is using them. They will never be able to keep up with the amount of spontaneous stupidity humans muster. Ill be keeping my ford f350 even if it means i have to buff your self driving car out of my bumper every week.

The dependency on machines to do everything for us will leave humanity in shambles.
