YouTubers complain about subscriber notification issues

article published on 26 June, 2018

YouTubers have used VidCon to vent their frustration at YouTube over declining viewership due to subscribers not being notified of new videos. Starting last year, many YouTubers began to notice their average number of video views falling dramatically. It emerged that YouTube wasn't notifying their subscribers as often about new videos, and wasn't promoting them to subscribers as prominently as before. ... [ read the full article ]

Who cares! Youtubers are losers for the most part and need to get an f'ing job rather than push hard to become a "sensation" in order for them to retire like they THINK THEY CAN at the tender age of 56.

Millennials man......the dumbest box of rocks on this planet. Entitled goofs!

I have a youtube channel dedicated to my wedding video business and I have noticed a drop in views as well.
I get plenty of business from youtube as many of my clients have found me on youtube. I don't care about becoming a youtube sensation, my channel isn't made for that, but it definitely helps get business.

It isn't just hitting the annoying kid trying to play video games for a living. It's hitting true new media, including independent news outlets and such...actual companies with employees. It's also hitting the users; right now it's just so broken. You have to turn on alerts to know when a new video goes up, then turn off alerts on your phone to avoid them...even then you don't see it on the front page, only a little red dot on the alerts icon. Meanwhile what you do see on the front page is half videos you already watched, and the other half is old videos from channels you would never watch. It's gotten so bad that there are dozens of websites offering custom front-ends for youtube.

I agree that there are just too many people that Vlog on YouTube and act like they are a famous person from Hollywood. Take TJ Hunt (who is a college dropout) for example. He has made so much money off from recording daily Vlogs about stupid s**t he does on his cars or friends car and when kids and teenagers seem him on the street they act like little schoolgirls and want his autograph and even signs his name on their car dashboard. Good luck trying to resell that car.

Now there are some legitimate people like the person who mentioned he uses it for his business for wedding videos and I use it for promotions... which makes sense.

However these Vloggers act like what they are doing is a real job and it honestly takes no education to do what they are doing, they are just hustling like a drug dealer on the street without the repercussions. They have even admit themselves that anyone can do what they are doing, which is why they are so thankful for people who watch and subscribe because that is how they make their money by step (1-record themselves, 2-edit the video, 3-upload video to YouTube). Life is way too easy for these millennials and they want and expect everything to be handed to them as if they are entitled.

I find really funny and sad when you see older people on YouTube in their 30's-50's recording themselves like Vloggers and you can see they are holding out the cameras as far as they arm will reach. Go get a tripod and stop walking around on the street holding a camera to your face or have someone record you instead.

Kind of sad what that this world has come to because it's really based on how many LIKES and SUBSCRIBERS you have to show your achievement in life. On their tombstone they should include 114,237 Subscribers and 31K Likes... but no REAL accomplishments in life. hahahahahahahaha ;-)
