yamada 6600 codec problem help

Does anybody have the problem where some films are very jerky when you play nthem in this player, is their a codec problem with this player, when i play them on my computer in any format ie avi divx etc they are great picture but when you play some of these films on the yamada 6600 they seem to be very jerky so what is going on with this player, i have upgraded to the latest firmware today but the problem on the codecs on this player has not been rectified any one got any augestions
