Iam a newbie here. Please excuse if my question is naive.
I have a old PS2 ( bought about 2 years back). I have a DVD + r,r/w burner. It does not burn dvd -r. My PS2 does not have any mod chip. Is it possible to backup a PS2 game onto a DVD +R and play it in my PS2.

Can it atleast play a game backed up on DVD -R without modchip.

NOPE
You need some type of modification, maybe like a flip top but you still need to take it apart.

Yes there are ways to play backups without modding your PS2 and voiding your warranty. As far as I know these are the best methods:

1) HDLoader (Backs up games directly to a HD in your PS2, no DVD burning required, this is what i'm using)

2) HDAdvance (Clone of HDLoader)

3) Swap Magic + Slide Card (Flip Top voids warranty)

120 gig hard drive $120 or cheaper
network adapter $40 or cheaper
hdloader or advanced hdloader $30 or cheaper

Swap Magic + Slide Card $ 29.95

I prefer mod over swap but to each his own
